ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA

ABURAYAMA FUKUOKA is a large outdoor complex south of central Fukuoka, combining the former municipal pasture and Citizens' Forest. General admission is free, with separate fees for parking, animal activities, adventure attractions, barbecue, camping and accommodation.

Choose the right entrance
Use the pasture side at 710-2 Kashihara for animals, children's play areas, restaurants, Snow Peak facilities, paid attractions and most family activities. Use the forest side at 855-4 Hibaru for nature observation, viewpoints, the suspension bridge, waterfall and hiking. Cars cannot drive through between the two sides; a hilly forest path of about 1.5 km connects them on foot.
Hours and transport
The grounds normally open 9:00–18:00 and close on the first and third Wednesday of each month; when one is a public holiday, closure moves to the following Wednesday. The car parks hold about 540 vehicles on the pasture side and 190 on the forest side. Limited buses operate on selected weekends and holidays, so check the current timetable.
Current planning notes
Seasonal pools, stream play and animal displays can change with weather and heat. Restaurants, activities, barbecue sites and accommodation each have separate hours and reservation rules. Check the day's notices and reserve paid experiences before making the trip.
