Amu Plaza Kokura is the shopping complex integrated with JR Kokura Station. Its west and east wings combine fashion, daily goods, a supermarket, pharmacy, souvenirs and restaurants, making it a useful stop between the Shinkansen, local trains and Kitakyushu Monorail.
Hours and diningThe main shopping areas normally open 10:00–20:00. MaxValu Express and Cocokara Fine on west-wing B1F operate 9:00–22:00. Amu Dining restaurants on west-wing 6F generally open 11:00–22:00, with some closing at 21:00. The Eki-kara Sanjupo Yokocho dining area on east-wing 1F normally opens 11:00–23:00, with some venues until midnight.
Access and nearby sights
The complex is directly connected to JR Kokura Station and the monorail station, at 1-1-1 Asano, Kokurakita Ward. The Shinkansen-side pedestrian deck leads towards Aruaru City, Kitakyushu Manga Museum and Mikuni World Stadium. Use the Kokurajo-guchi side for Kokura Castle, Katsuyama Park and Riverwalk Kitakyushu.
Parking
The Station Hotel Kokura underground car park operates 6:00–24:00 and has 360 spaces. Charges are ¥200 per 30 minutes on weekdays and ¥300 per 30 minutes on weekends and public holidays. Purchase-based service is limited to a maximum of four hours, and receipts from multiple shops cannot be combined; ask the shop when paying. Information checked 19 August 2026.
