Hakata Hankyu Department Store

Hakata Hankyu is a department store directly connected to the Hakata-side concourse of JR Hakata Station. It is convenient for cosmetics, fashion, children's goods and last-minute food or souvenir shopping before a train or flight.

Hours and floors
The whole store normally opens 10:00–20:00, although cafés, services and the final day of an event may use different hours. The basement food hall, known as Umachika, sells prepared food, sweets and gifts from Fukuoka and Kyushu. Major cosmetics and brands are on 1F, family and children's goods are on 7F, and the main event hall is on 8F.
For international visitors
A tax-free counter is located on M3F. Bring the original passport and complete the procedure on the same day as purchase; eligibility and excluded goods follow the store's current rules. Free Wi-Fi, foreign-currency machines, refrigerated lockers, stroller and wheelchair loans are also available in designated areas.
Access
The store is inside the Hakata Station complex at 1-1 Hakataeki-Chuogai. From Fukuoka Airport, the subway ride to Hakata takes about five minutes. There is no dedicated store car park; partner parking discounts depend on purchase amount and eligible cards, so rail or subway is usually simpler.
