Koinohotaru Riverside Station and Onsen

Koinohotaru is a riverside complex beside Chikugo Regional Park, combining a day-use hot spring, produce market, restaurant and free footbath. The onsen and market are on the same site but have different addresses, telephone numbers and opening hours.

Onsen
The hot-spring building normally opens 10:00–21:00, with last admission at 20:30. It closes on Tuesdays, or Wednesday when Tuesday is a public holiday. Admission is ¥700 for junior-high-school students and adults, ¥500 for visitors aged 70 or over, ¥350 for children aged 4 through elementary school, and free for ages 3 and under. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers are provided; bring or buy a towel.
Market and meals
The market opens 9:00–19:00 with no regular closing day and sells produce and regional goods from the Chikugo area. The restaurant normally operates 11:00–19:00, with last orders at 18:30, and follows the onsen's Tuesday closure. The natural-hot-spring footbath is free but unavailable when the onsen is closed.
Getting there
The onsen address is 298-2 Ojima, Chikugo. Walk about 15 minutes from JR Chikugo-Funagoya Station or take a taxi for about five minutes. By car, it is about eight minutes from Yame interchange or ten minutes from Miyama-Yanagawa interchange; free parking holds about 70 vehicles.
