Seiryuan Ryokan (Akizuki Onsen)

Seiryuan is a six-room ryokan in historic Akizuki, about an hour by car from central Fukuoka. Every guest room has its own hot-spring bath, and the property is known for its garden, streamside setting and seasonal kaiseki cuisine.

Meals and day visits
Seasonal Japanese kaiseki courses are currently listed at ¥7,150, ¥9,350 and ¥11,000, while chef's-choice Western-style courses are ¥8,250 or ¥11,000. Prices include tax and advance booking is required. Day-use meals are also offered for celebrations and memorial gatherings.
Getting there
Driving is the simplest option. By public transport, travel to Amagi Station and continue toward Akizuki by local bus or taxi. Combine the stay with the old castle town, cherry blossoms or autumn foliage.
