Tokunavi Fukuoka

Ukiha City

Ukiha lies between the Chikugo River and the Mino mountain range in southern Fukuoka Prefecture. Orchards, the historic streets of Yoshii, terraced fields, hot springs and small cafés make it a relaxed countryside destination.

What to experience
Fruit is a major part of Ukiha's identity, but varieties and harvest periods change through the year. Yoshii's white-walled streets suit a walk between old buildings, shops and cafés, while the foothills offer wider rural views and seasonal scenery.
Getting around
The JR Kyudai Main Line serves the city, including Chikugo-Yoshii and Ukiha stations. Many orchards, viewpoints and hot-spring facilities are spread away from the railway, so a car, taxi or carefully planned local bus may be needed.
Plan by season
